The Halton Police Board is pleased to welcome Navneet Sekhon to the Halton Police Services Board as the newest provincial appointed Board member. Her appointment is effective as of June 15, 2020. Mayor Burton, Chair of the Police Board, will officially introduce Ms. Sekhon to the Board during her first meeting on June 25, 2020.
Ms. Sekhon said, “It is an honor to serve on the Halton Police Board, which is dedicated to serve and protect our community. Halton must grow with the changing needs of its residents. I am fully committed to lending my expertise and providing support in my capacity as a Board Member.”
Ms. Sekhon founded AXSource Consulting Inc. in 2008, a company that specializes in providing regulatory & quality consulting as well as information technology services in the areas of pharmaceuticals and life science.
Navneet previously held the position of Chair of the Canadian Association of Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (CAPRA) Board of Directors and also served on the Executive Advisory Board where she lends her expertise to matters affecting the overall strategy and direction of the association. In 2016 and 2017 she was nominated for the prestigious RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards which celebrates the achievements of female entrepreneurs.

The Halton Police Board is a seven-member civilian Board that provides strategic oversight to the Halton Regional Police Service. Under the Police Services Act, the Board has legislated responsibility for the Police Service’s operating and capital budgets; strategic planning; policies and priorities. The Police Board’s fundamental responsibility is to ensure that adequate and effective police services are provided to the citizens of Halton Region.
