Police Board approves 2017 - 2019 Business Plan

The Halton Police Board has approved the 2017 – 2019 Business Plan for the Police Service.  At a recent Board meeting, Chief Steve Tanner presented the Plan outlining the goals to be accomplished over the next three years.  The Plan will be used as a guide in setting specific annual policing initiatives within the Region.

Extensive consultation with various stakeholders, members of the community and members of the Police Service were undertaken to ensure the goals reflect their concerns.  Mayor Rob Burton, Chair of the Police Board stated “responding to community needs remains at the forefront of our policing initiatives, and this Plan will be the main driver of our annual work plan and budgets”.  Chief Tanner echoed the Chair’s sentiments and noted the Plan commits the Police Service as an organization to the public’s safety and well-being.
